Tattooing is much more than a job for tattoo artists. It’s a way of life. Tattoo artists are no ordinary humans. They’re special. They’re called to a higher purpose: to make people more awesome, better looking, more like themselves or anyone else. As a tattoo artist, every client you have is unique, and you have to be able to handle that uniqueness. If a client has a specific idea of what they want, which comes out of their life experiences, then you as an artist should be able to filter that and get it down on their skin in a way that’s not just appealing but also true: an expression of who they really are.
